CAR Candidates

The Colorado Association of Realtors, much like AAR, is led by a board of directors.  These directors are responsible for charting the course for the state association, which deals with an entirely different set of issues from AAR.  Monitoring issues at the state and federal level, CAR works with local associations to ensure we are well represented at the Colorado General Assembly, DORA and other state agencies that have jurisdiction over the various aspects of the real estate market.

CAR directors work throughout the year on legal and regulatory issues that impact all REALTORS in Colorado.

This year, two seats on the CAR board of directors are open.  We have three extremely experienced and qualified candidates for these two seats.  On June 19th, each member will receive an email with a username and password as well as a link to a voting web site.  Once there, you will have the opportunity to vote for two of the following candidates.  You must vote for two candidates or your ballot will be invalid.

Qualifications for seeking office of director:  “Life prior to real estate is hard to remember, as real estate has always been a part of my life. As a second generation REALTOR® with both of my parents having been members of our Association, I grew up spending time in my parents’ real estate offices. Not to mention the time in the back seat of their cars while going to the next appointment, and ‘quietly’ sitting in the corner during the all-important closings…Shortly after high school graduation, I obtained my real estate license. In December of 2001 my father had numerous serious life threatening health issues that kept him in the hospital for several months. During this time and ever since, I have taken on the leadership role in the firm of managing the day to day operations and eventually becoming the managing broker in 2014. These experiences have given me some of the best on the job training one could receive. This added experience has allowed me the opportunity to consistently exceed my own clients’ expectations.”

Goals and objectives as a director:  “I am proud to live and work in Aurora, CO as well as being a second generation REALTOR® in our Association. I am excited to use my leadership skills, elevated experience, and youthful prospective as an advantage to further engage our members to be more active and involved with our Association. My experiences over the years have helped me realize the importance to provide an environment conducive to the success of our membership in order to insure our association’s strength to future generations of REALTORS®.”
